New Zealand Skyhawk at Townsville, 3rd June 1985  It aquaplaned during heavy rain & flipped.  Some of the fire crew were Dan Petty (Fire Controller) First on scene in TFGP was Peter Clapp (SFC) ,John Horsburg, Bob Beutel & Paul Flaherty. Repaired and returned to service 29th March 1990.

A3-8 was delivered to RAAF on 7 Aug 1964. Crashed at East Sale on take off due to tyre failure at 150 knots on 17 Feb 1978.  A/C was partially destroyed by fire as it was being trucked to Laverton in Feb 1981.  A/C was stripped of any usable parts to rebuild A3-41 as a training aid.

US Marines Hercules aircraft. Prop gearbox seized on the threshold, Steve Milne was driving the P4 in the background -Richmond

Richmond on the 11th September1968 with fire trucks attending a wheels-up landing of a 38SQN Caribou. The aircraft was A4-233 captained by FLGOFF Bob May.  It was a test flight following a major servicing.  The landing was on the nose wheel and ramp on foam.  The ramp was wiped out but replaced by one fabricated by metal machinists at 38SQN.
