This was probably the last foam path laid by the RAAF Fire Service at an incident. Just before the aircraft touched down the crew blew the canopy over the navigator and once the aircraft started to slow down, the pilot and navigator came out of the blown hatch, along the wing and were seen running from the aircraft before we could lay more foam on the aircraft. A good job by all.
